The issue turns out to be the update doesn’t automatically update CUPS configuration to use the latest postscript printer definition (ppd) file – if you see the error “ The fix is to go to the CUPS admin page – open your browser to localhost:631 – then Printers > Your Printer > Modify Printer (In the Dropdown) > Continue > Continue > Pick the new MP620 Driver from the List > Modify Printer > Type root and password when prompted and your printer should be working again.
